hw 13

(1.) suggestions of at least two user participation projects, particularly those that focus on Virginia or local history (or could you suggest a crowd-sourcing project for a particular collection) that you find interesting.

1. The one that I found interesting was when people started tearing down important statues

 2. roads in Virginia

How are these user-participation projects

  1. The statues project has to do with everyone in the United States and it has to do with history

  2. The other one has to do with how people transport to and from work with new technology that has enhanced in today's world

 (2.) explain their importance

  1. These statues are a big part of American History and these people did many important things, for example, making the cities we live in and making the constitution of the US. its part of our history and people cant change history once it happens. These people were leaders for our country back in the 1800s.

  1. The roads in Virginia changed and has a history, the roads in Virginia use to not be here and people from Jamestown didn’t require roads they would use the rivers and bridges for transportation.  Now that technology has changed so much over the past few years that now its easy to go see friends and family.  People who were in Jamestown definitely set up a good stepping stone for roads that we have today
